Susan Wood Copywriting in Lake Tahoe

A poet and a killer, my approach to projects balances sensitivity and intensity. I’ve logged decades of experience in communications, carrying that rare blend of writing experience in both journalism and ad copy disciplines.

The former has taken me up and down the state of California, covering stories as diverse as the catastrophic Angora fire in 2007 near South Lake Tahoe to the 2002 Olympic torch run through town in which I ran a leg of my own.

The latter – my ad copywriting experience has taken me in house to a slew of large companies ranging from the Guitar Center to Puritan Bennett. I’ve worked inside some notable agencies including McCaffrey & McCall, handling Epson computers and Mattel licensing division, as well as the Evans Group catering to Glendale Federal and the Pasadena Agency with The Broadway and ITC Entertainment.

My strongest suit lies in conceptual development. I’m an idea person. My philosophy is such that every campaign starts with that great idea, often an observation of life’s simple, memorable moments.
