Facebook revealed a new plan to stop the spread of misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic on its platform, Adweek reported.

Users who have liked, commented or reacted to relative falsehoods that the social media giant has flagged and removed as harmful will be directed to a website that debunks these conspiracy theories.

Separately, Facebook is also launching a “Get the Facts” section full of vetted news about the pandemic, The Verge added.

Will these conspiracy theorists find other avenues to spread false information?
