The 2016 General Election taught us a lot of things as American citizens — including the problem we have with anyone with a computer providing “made up” news.

Even Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg admitted his social media giant has a difficult time sifting through reality and the proliferating untruthful announcements posting all over the world.

In his latest post, Zuckerberg mentioned Facebook’s new measures to include better technical systems that can automatically flag such material, Variety reported.

These aren’t harmless little discrepancies. We have now entered a day and age when social media is so big it can influence a presidential election, as pundits have pointed out since President-elect Donald Trump came up with a stunning upset over career politician Hillary Clinton.

How do we weed out and rectify the increasing number of these unsubstantiated posts?
